1. Where is Phelps Room Designs located?
Answer: Phelps Room Designs is located in Detroit, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois. We are able to service the Metro Detroit/Chicago area. There is an up-charge for all Michigan clients outside of a 15 mile radius of downtown Detroit.
2. Does Phelps Room Designs travel out of state?
Answer: YES. A travel fee is required for all out-of-state bookings that varies depending on date and location. Please visit our pricing tab for the cities we currently travel to.
3. Is Phelps Room Designs responsible for booking hotel rooms and Airbnbs?
Answer: NO. We only provide decorations/designs. We DO NOT book your hotel or Airbnb.
4. Does the client have to be present during the decoration process?
Answer: NO. In fact, most customers are never around when we are decorating. For hotels, clients usually add the name of our founder (Hunter Phelps) to the hotel reservation, so when she arrives at the hotel, she can just grab the key from the front desk and immediately begin decorating. (this is the desired protocol).
5. Does Phelps Room Designs travel outside of the U.S.?
Answer: Yes, but we currently only travel to Canada.
Policies
Please note that there is a non-refundable 90% deposit due at the time of booking for all clients. The remaining balance is due during room set-up.
For Michigan/Illinois clients, bookings must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
For out-of-state clients, bookings must be scheduled at least 4 weeks in advance.
Bookings are not confirmed until your deposit is sent.
Phelps Room Designs is not responsible for room clean up and the fees that might be associated with doing so unless you booked a PRD cleaning service!
Phelps Room Designs is not responsible for any injuries caused within your booking location as a result of our decorations.
For clients who booked a PRD cleaning service, you must be willing to leave your hotel room or Airbnb at least an hour before checkout time.
Clients are able to reschedule an appointment, but your deposit will not be refunded and there is a $150 rebooking fee. You will have to contact us for your new proposed date and your new proposed date must be 60 days or less from your original scheduled date.
You will be charged a late fee of $50 if you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment.
Your booking will be cancelled if you are more than 30 minutes late to your specified arrival time.
All deposits are non-refundable.
